Frequently Asked Questions
Do Firelake University have accreditation?
Accreditation System in Finland
Finland does not currently implement an accreditation system for universities, nor is there specific legislation governing private universities. The last university in Finland was nationalized in 1974 during a period characterized by strong leftist ideologies.
Impact of Foreign Accreditation
As a result of this lack of accreditation, our university does not hold accredited status. Pursuing foreign accreditation is a costly endeavor, with estimates suggesting that it could raise the annual cost of degrees by at least €35,000. Such an increase would render higher education unaffordable for many students, particularly those from low-income backgrounds, thereby limiting their access to educational opportunities.
